Well I think winter is on its way. I took our dog Danny for a walk this afternoon and it was pouring with rain and very blustery! The stream was about to break its bank which did not deter our Danny from diving in after his ball, he adores water whatever time of year but he made me feel pretty cold today!!
By the time we were back from our walk all I wanted to do was hang my welly boots on the rack, fill the log basket up, go indoors light the fire and snuggle up all toasty and warm.
Its that time of year when the logs are stored, the chutneys, jams and preserves are stacked on the shelves and its time to make sure you're ready for the long winter nights ahead. We have a lovely selection of candle holdersin store and those all important draught excluders. Stan is busy in the workshop at the moment with lots of peg rail orders, it seems I'm not the only one preparing for winter! We have therefore decided to extend our peg rail range to include a choice of edging which will be coming soon along with some handpainted decorative racks (when I get the time). If there are any designs you have in mind we would love to hear from you.
I have finally warmed up now huddled by the fire with my mug of chamomile, I think I'm going to spend the rest of the evening here with Danny by my feet.
Bye for now.
